US Dollar Poised To Gain But Will Weaken In H2 2019

The U.S. dollar is expected to rise against other major currencies in the first half of the year before losing ground in the second half, analysts said, as a combination of slower U.S. growth expectations for 2019 and Federal Reserve’s more gradual approach toward interest rate hikes will weigh on the currency.

Cab aggregator Uber will reportedly launch a boat service in India’s commercial capital Mumbai. Named UberBOAT, the service has chosen the Gateway-Mandwa Jetty sector of Mumbai as its debut route.

The highlight of the speed boat service is reduced travel time, thanks to its high speed it only takes one-third of the time taken by traditional ferry services, Times of India noted. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is revolutionizing how we shop with its cashierless Amazon Go convenience stores, and hopes to expand the concept from fewer than 10 now into a network of 3,000 stores in only two years.

There may be logistical issues in building out so many stores in such a short time, as well as political ones if states decide all stores must accept cash.
